corrosion #2

The images taken by Hiroko Komatsu, the residue of industrialized society, were transferred onto tracing paper on both sides and dissolved into each other.

2_01

The images, with their increased entropy, are so jet-black that it is difficult to read them, but it is interesting to note that the barely connected outlines of the images on the surface seem to be supported by the images that can be seen through the back, increasing their materiality.

The cover, made of printed fiber-based photographic paper, is a photogram of the two tracing papers used in the main body of the book.
The book is entirely handmade by Hiroko Komatsu, including the printing with a typewriter of the title/back matter. Saddle-stitched booklet.
